The Trelissick Park Group members are all volunteers - donating
their labour and much else. However, there is always a requirement for
funding for plant purchases
and special projects. We have ongoing plant nursery
costs (potting mix/fertiliser) and running costs (eg photocopying,
We may need more funding for a footbridge across the Kaiwharawhara
Stream upstream from the debris trap, to connect with a proposed track
coming down from Oban St, Wadestown. Currently many residents
of Wadestown and Highland Park do not visit the Park as they have only one
entrance, whereas there are six from the other side of the valley. Many
residents and users participated in the recent Council survey, showing
support by a large majority for the proposed second entrance.
The new footbridge and track from Wadestown will expand walking
opportunities in the Park and in the surroundings, as well as access to
a new area of the Park for restoration and pest control.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
If you prefer, a cheque for any donation can be made out to Trelissick Park Group. And if you
pay direct into the Park account our Treasurer Anne Tuffin will be able to
advise the account number. See below
contact list for contact details.
We can assure you that any donation will be
entirely spent on behalf of improving the Park for all users.
